Without exception Mr Chou was reassuring, considerate and informative at each consultation. He kept me appraised of what was happening at each stage of my hip replacement, and aided my recovery.

I found Mr Chou very pleasant and he explained everything in great detail. The aftercare
has been exceptional and far better than I received when I had my other hip replaced at a different hospital. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Chou as he is extremely thorough.

I found mr chou very helpful in answering all my questions , very precise when explaining what he intended doing to make my life more enjoyable, and he has managed to do what he said, i realise that it is going to take a long time for things to get back to being normal, but I new that right from the beginning, I can walk better than I have for the last 50 years since my operation, and each week just gets better, I will forever be thankful to mr chou for what he has done for me, and will recommend him to anyone who needs his help, thank you Ronald christopher tillett.

Mr Daud Chou is an outstanding surgeon, an excellent communicator and a genuinely kind and caring professional. He carried out a hip replacement operation on me 12 months ago, which was a complete success.
In choosing a surgeon, I was particularly impressed by Mr Chou’s voluntary work in international disaster zones, both in terms of his dedication to others and also his ability to deal with very challenging operations.
I came to the first appointment with lots of questions, all of which he patiently answered, clearly and helpfully. I left the appointment feeling very grateful to have found such an excellent consultant/surgeon. And I still feel that way! The operation itself and the aftercare have been brilliant. In addition, Mr Chou’s very neat surgical work has left a very tidy and much smaller operation scar than I’d expected!
I would absolutely recommend Mr Chou to my family and friends and he will be my first choice should I need to have my other hip replaced.

Mr Chou is a dual fellowship trained Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon currently working as a full-time Consultant, at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. He specialises in hip and knee replacements as well as pelvic, acetabular and lower limb fracture surgery. In 2019 he was presented with the “You Made a Difference Award” at Addenbrookes Hospital for his dedication to patient care, improving patient pathways and supporting the multi-professional team.
After studying Medicine at University College London, he completed orthopaedic surgical training in London; where he gained experience at world-renowned hospitals. Mr Chou attained Fellowship to the Royal College of Surgeons in England and was awarded Certificate of Completion of Training. Since then, he has completed nearly two years of advanced senior fellowship training in primary and revision hip and knee replacements at the Royal London Hospital and the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia. In addition, he has undertaken a further year of advanced senior fellowship training in pelvic and acetabular reconstruction at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. His dual training provides him with unique expertise to not only expertly perform primary hip and knee replacements; but he is also able to undertake the more complex surgeries and even the re-do operations for hip replacements that need revising.
